All month long, Mother’s Westside Cafe will feature the unique and inspiring artwork of the Amity Creek Magnet School 4th Grade Class, Feast of Gratitude Project.
“Gratitude is when what you have is enough.” W.P.
These beautiful testimonies of appreciation and gratitude paint a picture of a new generation. No longer are kids of today living in the land of “want,” but rather in the home of “look at my abundance.” Sounds like a lofty statement or a bit of “too good to be true?” This is for real. Their teachers have found this class to be one of the most genuine, accepting, willing to grow, and appreciative of all they already have. This project was an opportunity to put their thoughts on paper in a playful and thoughtful way. Each feast is a unique snapshot into their mind and the expanding love in their hearts. Please read their short bio next to their feast to see who they are and what inspired them to create their masterpiece. Please note and appreciate their “I Am” statements. We believe each child will make significant contributions to our world, as they will usher in a brand new tomorrow.
We encourage you to stop by the cafe, grab a cup of tea and peruse the individual works of art contributed by each student!
Special Open House
Join us Tuesday, December 13th from 5-7pm at our Westside Cafe for a special open house and closing event for Amity Creek’s 4th graders showing their Feast of Gratitude Project.
The 4th graders have partnered with Family Access Network (FAN) and are collecting desperately needed snow boots of all sizes, K-12. There will be a collection box at Mother’s all day on Tuesday. If you can’t make it to Mother’s to drop your extra pair of gently loved snow boots, Amity Creek Magnet’s School office will be collecting throughout the week.
Thank you for your partnership in keeping kids warm, inside and out!
