Whether you are gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, or just want something healthy, Mother’s Downtown Kitchen provides fresh, local, and organic dining options in our sleek new restaurant downtown. Paired with a cold-pressed juice—or a juice-inspired cocktail—here are a few of our favorite healthy dinners in Bend, Oregon—no matter your diet.
Healthy Dinners in Bend (For Every Diet)
When we started the very first Mother’s Juice cafe, it was important to us to utilize the bounty around us. To this day we work with local farmers and producers to create the menu we now serve at Mother’s Kitchen downtown. Featuring produce from Detering Orchards, Juniper Jungle Farm, Willamette Valley Fruit Company, and Ladybug Farms we are committed to sourcing locally.
For the Gluten-Free
For those with gluten intolerances or celiac disease, our from-scratch kitchen features a gluten-friendly menu. GoodCareful food handling practices are used to maintain the integrity of our meals so you can enjoy a night out without fear of gluten contamination or the associated side effects that may come along with that. Start with our tomato watermelon salad with goat cheese, cashews, basil and a white vinaigrette followed by our grilled wild salmon. Featuring coconut ginger rice, baby bok choy, and roasted mushrooms in a tasty dashi broth, this dish is one of our crowd favorites.
For Vegetarians and Vegans
We offer several options for both vegetarians and vegans. Start with lettuce cups filled with tofu, cashews, jicama, mushrooms, radishes, carrots, and pickled cucumbers. Then try one of our rice bowls. Served over our signature brown and red rice blend, our Buddha bowl contains wok seared seasonal vegetables. Topped with crispy tofu and a spicy peanut sauce it’s a real treat. Vegetarians might also enjoy our Brooks Street pasta dish. Served with summer vegetables and goat cheese it’s then drizzled with Meyer lemon oil and truffle salt. Who says a vegetarian diet can’t be indulgent?
